Chemical Peels

Chemical peels are a form of rapid exfoliation to help with minor skin complaints including fine lines, dry patches, oily and spot prone skin.  All peels are used to speed up the skin renewal process and reveal fresher skin.

When you arrive for your treatment, your face will be thoroughly cleansed and prepared for the peel.  Then, depending on the peel, the solution will be applied for between 1 and 10 minutes.  The peel is then neutralised and washed off.  A slight redness may occur and ideally skin needs to be kept free of make up for the rest of the day, but this is not essential.  You will need to moisturise thoroughly for the following week to ensure the skin doesn't dry out.

The peels that Dee uses are of professional grade and do not have any down time.  Dee recommends that you have a course of six with a three month break in between course for maximum results.

 Glycolic Peel

The most popular and well known peel is the glycolic acid peel which is suitable for most skin types but most suited to normal/combination/ageing skin.

The Glycolic peel comes in several strengths to suit your individual requirements.

Salicylic Peel

Salicylic acid is more appropriate for oily/spot prone skin as it is capable of breaking down the 'oily glue' that is found on these skin types.  Therefore it can penetrate deeper into the skin and break through the oily layer to ensure a thorough exfoliation.

Lactic Peel

This is the most gentle of all the peels and is best suited to sensitive skin or those who would like to tread gentley with their first chemical peel experience.

Dee's prices for peels are as follows:
